Starter for new rider bike, big guy?
I'm 6-0, 290 pounds. Yes I know. Huge. My dad has two Harleys. My stepmother has a dyna low rider. I've been learning a little dynamism. I'm doing my lisc. morning and it's time I got my own bike. I'll try to describe what I need. I want something I can put some decent saddlebags. Sport bikes are more or less a NO. I love a Buell, but insurance is ridiculous in most of them. My dad (for some strange reason) despises all Asian bikes …. My price range is less than 5 g, and I can not want anything more than 2002 as the year party for what price. So, or suggest a bicycle, or suggest a way to convince Dad that the Asian bikes arent so bad – facing the fact that insurance is like dirt cheap for them. If you mention Harley Sportster, I have to condemn. My father used to stop talking about them, but I do not want a Effing. Thank you.
Hi Big Guy, I have been traveling about 35 yrs.With your situation I would recommend a Harley Wide Glide. This is a bike that would be big enough for you, and low center of gravity would be relatively easy for you to handle.It also be a bike that can hold a reasonable time. Your first bike should be a bike suitable for its size, however, a fun bike. Hope you have as much enjoyment of riding as I have had.
