2003 Heritage Softail Classic information.?
I ave decided to trade the much loved Sportster in on a Heritage Softail Classic as I want to do some two up travelling with my wife.Is there any thing that I should be aware of? This machine has 32000km on it and has been serviced regular and has all the factory add ons. The bike has been serviced at the recomended intervals by a dealer.

The Heritage is pretty much bulletproof. The exception being the cam chain tensioner: it should have been changed out before 20,000 miles. It likes to chew off little plastic loogies and clog the oil pump. I got wind of this problem with 15K on mine and immediately changed all that crap out for a gear drive. At that time while it was torn down I went ahead and threw in a set of #26 Andrews cams. That would be a good addition to any Heritage. -Made mine run alot better too.
(I don’t know why Harley doesn’t use the #26 grind as stock cams…..)
