Any pros and cons of a Harley Davidson Sportster 2004 883?

I some more opinions before deciding to buy it. If anyone has any comments or opinions about the bike, that would be great. I've been riding for a year and I'm jumping from one enduro. I can get a brand new suzuki s40 for the same price as this 883 Harley. I'm not looking to go cross-country cruising, or more just to move and go on a few relaxing walks. Thanks for your help!

2004 was the first year of the rubber-mounted engine in the Sportys, so you have a vibration much less than it would have on older Sportster. That is a big advantage to get a 2004 Sportster or newer versus older model. The 883 is a solid bike, the engine is not stressed and is at home on the highway. You may easily cruise at 70 mph throughout the day. When it comes to walking around the city, the Sportster works well and is heavy but very well balanced from the center of gravity is very low. On the other hand, is 5 years and may or may not have been treated in five years. The previous owner is a reasonably large variable in the question of reliability. The S40 would be new and have a warranty and you know exactly how he had been heeded. If you are going to fund things, Suzuki is also offering 1.99% APR at the moment, it's definitely in their favor. The S40 also have a higher yield. I have not heard of the problems specific Sportster 2004, or any that are specific to the S40. Both bikes should be reliable if they have attended. Overall, the S40 seems the most "practical" bike of the two and you can probably spend less overall (things like luggage racks and passenger endorsements will be cheaper for the S40 which will be for the Sportster). On the other hand, the Sportster brings a little more to the party with a hydraulic rear disc brake operated (S40 has a mechanical rear drum brake), lubrication dry sump, and over 35% more torque (51 ft-lbs for the Sportster vs. 37 foot-pounds for the S40). Of course, the benefit of these things is debatable. Frankly, of the two motorcycles that list, whether one meets your needs quite well. If Harley has remained so, then it really all comes down to what you like best when I walk.
