Why not start my Harley Sportster?
Batteries die. I rode my Sportster 2004 1200 "Roadster" home from work, it was the home for five minutes, and when I went back out would not start again. Everything went off while he was inside. It just kind of clicks when pressed the button, the screen and everything went black for a second. I changed the battery with a fully charged, it had enough juice to start once. We went on a round trip (About 20 minutes drive), when I got home, the same story. The battery seemed to have the juice to start the bike back. I could almost swear that the screen odometer flashes "JAZZ" or something before he died, but it could be my imagination. I have no voltage meters or experience of working with electricity, at least I can fix with a key, fixing it myself is a bit out of my league. I am most curious what is wrong so that when I take it in the store, I know what kind of repair costs to expect. It's only got one key, but thanks.
How many years old is the battery? If your more than three years, get a new one. It is much more likely that your charging system is not working.
