When Bud Ekins took the place of Steve McQueen to jump the wire fence in the film 'The Great Escape', which arguably set the scene of the most famous motorcycle movie of all time but you will notice that I used the word "probably" because there are other movies run as close to one. The Great Escape was not a movie about motorcycles, but has only occurred the scene that everyone remembers. Interestingly, despite McQueen not perform this maneuver, it was his idea to include that scene. Ekins and McQueen are both avid motorcyclists.

In 1969, Dennis Hopper directed and starred with Peter Fonda in a film that resonated far beyond the movie theater. "Easy Rider 'was the story of two young disappointed that after collect the funds from the sale of drugs in Southern California, went on a journey across America. The Hydraglides in the film, which were built from 1949 to and 1952, were bought at auction for $ 500, but the chopper builders Ben Cliff Hardy Vaughs and transformed the bikes, each with a backup to ensure the cameras kept rolling. One of the bikes went down in the final scene, while the other was stolen before the importance of the support film was made. The final scene fire had yet to be shot, hence the absence of motorcycles, while the former fire scenes, the bikes are clearly visible. The broken 'Captain America 'was rebuilt and Dan Haggerty and became a museum exhibit until she was sold in 2001.

In 1997 film, 'Tomorrow Never Dies', Pierce Brosnan and Michelle Yeoh to steal a BMW R1200 and tangle with villains in a Range Rover. It goes without saying, Bond wins the day, and luckily for Bond, the owner of the BMW not put up with it. Bicycles do not use much at all in the Bond films, which is a shame it appears to be ideal for this type of movie.

Marlon Brando played gang leader Johnny Strabler in the 1953 film "The Wild One ' in which a small town is terrorized by two rival biker gangs. Brando rides a Triumph Thunderbird 1950. This film was banned in the United States for fourteen Kingdom years, after which its public debut was at Club 59 in Paddington, London. The audience were mostly "Rockers." The film also features Lee Marvin as the opposition leader of the band.

In 1968 "The Girl on a motorcycle was Marianne Faithfull as a young wife Rebecca, who leaves his husband to visit her lover in Heidelberg. One of the amazing things about this film is how he manages to keep your Harley upright, even when bent taking. The film is also known as "Naked Under Leather," which sounds much more interesting do not you think?

Of course, many other movies with motorcycles, some with interesting titles as "Hell on Wheels She ',' Chopper Chicks in Zombietown 'and' Electra Glide in Blue ', but until someone comes up with a scene to compete with the jump wire in The Great Escape "I keep my favorite.
