V-twin S & S problem breathing?
I have an 99 with an engine CMC 88inch,. The oil that comes from my head vent is getting worse. The ride 200 km away, I will have oil all over the back, and when it stops dripping. It has been a problem of short trip. The BS, the view of S & S website will not allow e-mail. I pulled the rocker covers (chrome custom) to check the seals and check valve. Check valves appears a little difficult but not bad, no cracks, I took the lid Cam chest without packing problems, S & S requires a 92 and older in the chest that the package all together Super-Stock motors.The the same since new, no breaks and a good seal. I did a leak down into the motor, 1 / 2 to 1% in both, no problem ring. I have an oil filter chrome Harley was there for a while before the problem started, Brath NO is connected to carbohydrates, it never was. The problem was not bad before, I put 16,000 miles on it the way it was. Something happened and it's not my eyes. I was thinking about changing both the handle and head respirators. HELP
I do not like to ask the obvious, but possible that more oil is full? Or an oil filter wrong (too high a micron # can reduce the internal flow of oil). If none of these are the case will take another look at the valve. I had the same thing happens to me in a motor 100 "Patrick Racing a few years ago, in my case, a cylinder liner was crept into the casting, my compression and leak tested well, but the internal oil passage was raped and dumping oil everywhere. There was no external evidence did not realize, even after they separated. Technicians was Patrick who has captured. Hope yours is simpler than mine was.
