What is the basic difference between a Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic and a road king?
Apart from not having a fairing, is there any other difference? Can a radio be installed at a Road King? What is the difference in price between the two? Thanks for your help in advance.
The Electra Glide Road King the two share the same exact chassis. The main difference is, as you said, the fairing and handlebar. You can add a radio to the Road King, but it seems stupid as hell with ugly mounting systems bolted to the handlebars, another way is to add an after market fairing similar to the EG, but they are ugly with crap sound systems. Moreover, by the time you add the costs invloved in buying, painting and installation, it would be better to just buy the EG. The Harley Street Glide is another option … below is a shortened version of the EG without TourPack or other way to describe it is a RK with a fairing EG. HD also uses a TOP NOTCH Harmon Kardon stereo system that can be updated to include a cb / intercom system, satellite radio and GPS system with simple plug-in modules for HD.
