Harley Davidson Sportster Hate?
I just want to know why everyone seems to think the HD Sportster is a girls bike? I get a ton of crap, mostly from people who hardly ride their bikes at all, for riding my 1200 conversion 883 daily to work and school. Whats the deal?
Had a sportster years back- 66/68 parts assembly. Was good road bike and street racer, could handle curvy roads about like BSAs and Triumphs in club, better than the dressers and most choppers. Go on gravel road or dirt and you’ll appreciate difference. Put on a old K tank for extra range, H tanks also had over 100 mile range compared to little tank- about 2.2 gallon in small tank 3.5 on larger tank. Sportster history is documented- derives from K’s, WRs, XR -the competition/racer models. As ‘girls bike?’ -for ‘fast women’ maybe.
