Which one of these would be better among the rest in terms of performance,handling & value ?

in my never all that humbe opinion the sportster will give you the higher grin per dollar ratio. gonna be hard to beat the price of an 883 and it’s a great platform for anything from a mild custom to a wild chopper. put a windshield on it and invest in some bungee cords and it’s a decent light touring bike (rubber mounting and injection did wonders for these bikes!). as for reliability and resale value, i put 35k trouble free miles on my last 883 in six years, and then sold it for 3500 and bought another sportster (i wanted the rubber mounted engine for longer rides). another consideration is the national and regional clubs and groups that are sportster specific. lotsa fun to be had there! i’ve never owned or ridden a thruxton, but i owned a ’95 triumph sprint. loved it. fast, comdortable and reliable. a great all-rounder. never owned an eye-tallian bike but have heard lots of horror stories about their tendedncy to leave ya stranded. they dont retain their value very well either. of the bikes you listed my first choice would be the sportster, second choice would be the triumph. third choice would be a honda shadow sabre. you didnt include that on your list, but maybe you should have. nice factory custom with honda reliability, and it’s in the same price range as those you mentioned. happy trails!
