Spark Plug Gap for a 1972 Harley Ironhead?
Just bought a 1972 XLCH Harley Davidson Sportster. I do not have an owner’s manual and the repair manual is not telling me the recommended spark plug gap. I am assuming about .40
Any better info would be appreciated.
.035 or thirty -five thousands I use champion RJ12YC plugs they will be close out of the box.
Point gap @ .015 or the thickness of a match book cover.
Best ignition morris magneto in stalled in the tack drive hole.
Rear drum brakes are junk, Get a disk set up. Or at least use a rod instead of the cable.
Jump to a 26 tooth front sprocket its the largest you can go you’ll gain twenty on the road.
Oh yea, keep the primary up on oil, it shares oil with your trany.it gets low and bam, trany failure it takes out your left case.
