1988 harley-davidson Sportster; which gas?
I got it a few days ago, it was running on premium. by mistake i put in regular (becuase the guy didnt tell me what gas to use.) and the plugs fouled and it started running rough.
So im buying new plugs, but I still have about 1/4 of a tank of regular in there. (which in a 2 gallon tank equals about 1/2 a gallon)
Should I run the bike with the new plugs until the regular is gone, then fill it with premium and put a new fresh set of plugs in, so its basically starting fresh?
or is it ok to use fresh plugs and fill the rest of the tank with premium, and run the mix of 3/4 premium + 1/4 regular. and never go back to regular onces its out of the system?
Just put in the new plugs, top off the tank with premium and go, new plugs wont go bad that fast and a mix of 1/4 regular with premium is fine. Relax, you havent hurt anything.
