Which sidecar would be suitable for a 1996 Harley Davidson 900 Sportster?
You mean a 1996 Sportster 883……HD quit producing the 900 in the early 1970′s…although technically they called it a 900, it’s actual displacement was 883.
I tend to agree with the other guy, that a Sprtster wouldn’t be that great of a bike to mount a sidecar to, mainly due to it’s size and power. BUT, if you REALLY want to do it, I would STRONGLY recommend, if you haven’t done it already, is too have a 1200 conversion done to the bike, a hi-flow air cleaner, a good exhaust system, and install a set of bolt-in cams to give the bike the horsepower and TORQUE you will need to easily move the added weight…….
Have they cylinders bored out to 1200 and fitted to a set of Keith Black Reverse Dome Pistons and a set of Andrews N2 cams….
Air Cleaner…An HD Screamin Eagle Hi-Flow or basically any GOOD aftermarket Hi-Flo
Exhaust…Screamin Eagle Slip-On Mufflers or any Good Aftermarket Pipes…anythign EXCEPT drag pipes.

EDIT FOR BART: HA HA HA HA YOURSELF……there WAS a 900 Sportster….see my answer….HD classified the early model Ironhead Sportster as a 900, thechnically it was an 883, same bore and stroke as the 883…..just like most of your imports, when a manufacturer produces an engine, they classify it’s displacement as the next major even number…….hell HD’s 80cid engine is actually 81.69cid, HD rounded DOWN on that one….so…….HA HA on you!!! once again you prove yourself to be an IDIOT
