What is wrong with my motorcycle?
I have a 2006 Harley Davidson street glide. I was doing a bike run yesterday and while I was on the highway it was chugging a couple times so I thought it was going to overheat. When I got to the place I let it cool down for about 45 minutes. Then when I got back on it started right up and I left. But once I got on the highway it just shut down. It has a full tank of gas, it sounds like it wants to start but it wont kick over. I had to get it towed. Can anyone help me?
It only has 14,000 miles.
How many miles are on it?Inside the tank is a fuel filter that is supposed to be changed after 20,000(i believe) miles.If you have never changed it that could be your problem.I would take it to a dealer and see if it kicks a code out though.I had a similar problem with my Electraglide and it turned out being the main circuit breaker.You could tell it was electrical though because the volt meter started jumping from zero to 14 volts when it would act up.
