Dyna Super Glide Custom VS. Softail Night Train?

Tell me the difference between these two models, please. I'm considering buying one of these two, but I know nothing about motorcycles. I am looking to educate myself first. I've never ridden a bike, but I'll take a course in September. How does it handle? The pros and cons of both? I have searched the Harley site for information, but do not know what most of the jargon means so if you know of a website explaining the technique that would be great. Rake? What the hell is that? Wide rear tires versus standard size? How much insurance? Expensive maintenance? Thank you.

The biggest difference between a Softail and Dyna are shocks. Dynamic shocks ranging from rocker to strut defense rear, which are vertical shocks, Softail are under the bike and run in parallel to the bike. the commission is the front fork angle, the distance between the front and under the tubes. The more, the more commission the casting wheel (Orange County Chopper type). Stay away from wide tires again, refer to poor handling (if coming from the factory with them must be good, not extreme) people here will say the maintenance is very expensive, I have been buying HD since 1959 and my biggest expense is tires and oil changes.
