Motorcycle ride through Death Valley?
I have a "V-Twin air-cooled motorcycle. Specifically a Harley Softail. Now, I personally I love the summer heat and not enough, but I worry that ambient air temperature of about 120 degrees can be hard on my bike. All reviews based on the experience of riding in hot weather? I have an oil temperature gauge rod … maybe not a maximum operating temperature to be considered?
While you are moving, should not be a problem. HD has some amazing high-temperature tests of their bikes. The oil should be fresh, however. Make sure you also keep well hydrated RIDER. It is always better to drink before you are thirsty! Have not ridden there, I do not know if the phone coverage phones is a problem, but you have to think about what you would do in case of failure. People die in the Sahara (and other remote places) every year because, as tourists not recognize the risks that are being carried out.
