What would be a good camera?
I am thinking of switching the camera on my '99 Harley Softail Night Train with the 80 "evo. I good low-midrange camera made in the USA. I have already lit the fire himself, SE A / C, and V & H Big Shots pipes.
Adam, is always a matter of tuff. Good mid-range cameras are so low that come with. Not trying to be a wise man, hehe. Each type of modification has its own set strong. Indeed, real genuine momentum in low / medium range,,, High Compression beats any Cam. So no more trips. Cameras can show a low rpm boost half,,,, but a change of cams to improve it will be very weak in high-speed tracks. A Cam really can not build much extra energy to inflate the numbers mean wide, 2000 ~ 3000 rpm. What they do is change the peak torque down the rpm scale. For example, using numbers at random. AS-is, to say that your bike makes 70ft/lbs torque @ 4000rpm At 2500rpm, it may be 55ft/lbs only. Because PICO has not yet reached. mild Chambers, Lower / Middle ,,,,, They MOVE that 70ft/lb peak down to say 3000rpm. This causes torque to 65 ~ 70 range from 2500 ~ 3000 rpm. So yes, more torque at lower rpm. But not a single Ft / Lb real increase beyond the original. TOTAL has not increased That makes the engine run too weak to any regime beyond effort Max torque. It sorta "borrowed" higher power rpm, and added to the lower end of the RPM scale. On the way, the feeling is that the engine outa work of breathing and pulling closes early. Will out speed,,,, but just does not pull. You can test the sense of low end cam effect a faster and get an idea of how you feel. Keep a constant 4500rpm in 2nd gear, and the pressure of the throttle open. It is a soft, cowardly revolutions up,,,, but without throwing. Try again from 3000,,, and much harder to strip all cammed Harley are very mild and outa breath running around 4000,,, in general terms. The courage to change the cam is to extend the time and hard to pull up to its max rpm. Many people find the bikes trying to pass slow cars to 70 ~ 80 mph range. Hello compression,, big inch, etc, will not help much at all. These things are hard to pull up to 70 ~ 80 mph, but is that going to work outa breathe the same. And that's where Cam is the answer changes. If you really want more low end and midrange,,, go with higher compression, or a Bore Grande Kit. That Pull your existing gear to the road much faster speeds .. If you want to pull hard and a little more through each gear or "half-throttle speed "speed, then you need a cam change. Andrews # EV27 is a great camera,,,, which is the border of the" Hot Cam " but pulls harder than the cam action through low and medium range. Arguably "the best" for an engine of action for someone who do not want a racebike. They breathe well enough to support future minor updates / mods. With high-compression pistons,,, becomes a great shooter with widespread Good midrange and top end power. Andrews has a strong why,,, and probly Max for a stock engine, basically. # EV46 is very strong in the mid / top end and it doesn't lose much at the low end of the commitment. With higher compression, simple as that combo makes an exceptionally strong street engine. That is another point — if you believe finally going to add or do more for your engine,,, I really do not want to pay for a camera that will not be sufficient to support a bigbore kit or what you can do more forward. Chambers, in a sense, as a sort of parlor trick. When they change / When the motor strip,,,, not so much any change in production total. Superior compression or more cubic inches,,, low RPM middle that makes a ~ the energy boost is more pressure by simply pressing on the crankshaft. Yields a real boost as the rpm, particularly at low revs. My opinion, you really should consider installing 10:01 some pistons with any camera you choose. Going to make it run like a completely different engine. Camera anyway … Andrews EV27 or EV46 crane Fireball Fireball 310 or 316, on "hot medium notch", respectively, the two Andrews ground Screaming Eagle SE4 SE3 or fall between 2 and Andrews Cranes 2 There is much difference between the SE3 and 4 between the two options that other brands BETTER to do with the cams,,, is to call the mfgr and discuss with them. All just my opinion, all the world has its own ideas
