93 harley sportster 1200 has been sitting 3 years, new battery smokes at the terninals and burnt the…..?
hell out of my fingers when i touched the terminal (did not see smoke) why would this be so hot after only cranking for 20-30 seconds?
you sure you didn’t hook the battery up backwards?
the terminal on your left (front of bike) is supposed to be positive.
the terminal on your right (back of bike) is supposed to be negative.
