I have a 1200 sportster, it smokes, white blue color. what can I have done to fix this . Also if I go with the
sporty smokes through exaust, white-blue color. how do I fix this problem? I was already considering a big bore kit, would that solve my problem. Thanks ahead of time, you guys have solved problems that have baffled my Harley dealer! Jeff
Pull the spark plugs: see if they are covered in oil, if so its rings or valves.Next check the push rod adjustment: make sure the valves are opening & closeing correctly. If valves are ok do a compression test to find out if both jugs are bad. They sell oversized rings if you don’t want to go for the whole bore kit. Check the inexpensive stuff first, you may only need a valve adjust or you may have a bad lifter & if you REAL lucky, you may be running extra rich. Good luck.
