Are there motorcycle fuel tank caps with sensors?
My girlfriend’s Harley (Sportster 883) doesn’t have an indicator for low gas, I was wondering if there are any gas tank caps that some with the sensor and display on the cap?
I’ve seen fuel tank sensors but they just seem like sensors that get attached to the display of the motorcycle, I was looking for something that just gets added on top of it without any messy wiring or anything.

It’s a 2001 sportster, I would like something that you just put on. Specially if it displays the level on the cap itself without any setup required

HD just recently came out with a kit for 07-later Sportsters. It adds a fuel level sending unit to the tank and an LED indicator that goes on the front master cylinder (replaces the original cap.

BUT…if she simply uses the trip meter on the odometer and fills up every 100 miles…she will never run out out….this is how it’s been done for decades….common sense!!!
EDIT…2001 Sporty, Sorry man, no one makes a fuel level guage for the earlier bikes. The tank design will not allow the use of one. Not much you can do other than use the trip meter and fill up every 100 miles. This is just the way it is.
