1984 Harley sportster xlh problem…L?
Here’s what happened step by step.
Started the bike up the other morning and she ran fine. After 3minutes of idling she died. Started her back up and she ran for about a minute then died. Went to start her up again and all I got was a ticking noise(starter) charged the battery and started her up started right away, then died after 2mins, started back up then died, started back up and ticking again. HELP!! starter? Battery bad? Need new generator?
Well you need to find why it is dying, then why it needs the battery charged.
Does it run with the choke on? How old is your battery. Bike batteries don’t last forever, if its a couple years old it is probably shot.
