Motorcycle Saddlebag Sizing Help?
My dad’s birthday is on the 29th of this month, and I really want to buy him saddlebags for his Harley. I know he really needs and wants some, so yeah. Only problem was, when I went to the website I had heard about, I discovered that saddlebags come in different sizes (duh, I know I should have known they would, but it never clicked). Now I can’t just ask my dad what size bags he needs since it’s a gift, but I don’t have any other way of knowing, hence I turn to you, Yahoo! Nation. Any motorcycle aficionados (particularly Harley riders), please help!!! Or, if you just know the answer you can help too, aficionado or not…
Ok, my dad rides a 2006 Harley XL 1200C Sportster. What size saddlebags would fit this? Also, I know they say hard bags are more durable though soft bags are more amiable (so you can force more stuff into them), but which one do you personally think is better?
