Harley Sportster Oil Leak
I have a 99 Sportster XL1200, leaking engine oil vent tube, how I can fix this?
I talked to the service department Harley told me that it was switching to synthetic oil, changed back to base petro same problem occures. I used synthetic oil 2 years before this problem began. Hose leak behind the starter on the top of the motor case.
Well the first reason for this is the overfilling of oil! Check the oil level from the ground up (not on the stand, a full-service temperature. There must be at the top, I have mine to keep halfway and not have problems. What you have heard about oil Syth is shit, I have more than 70,000 miles on my 96 883 and have run Amsoil 20-50 in it since 500 miles. Very high humidity can also cause this decline. Its rocker boxes what Harley calls umbrella valves, which are rubber-way valves designed to prevent blowback that you describe, over time become hard and do not work 100%. Finally have a compression leak test to see if you ring or problems valves. No vent to the atmosphere as suggested will mess in the street and causes the engine to produce more air pollution.
Harley Sportster Oil Leak

How to control the leaking oil on your Harley Davidson
There are a few ways you can do to cope with the leakage Exhaust gas from oil in his Harley Sportster. One solution to the coup by the plant drains that are so far from depression. This is packed with the carburetor. This condition leads to exhaust the pool at the bottom Sportster air filter housing and then seep into the engine.
One solution that you can do is escape route for oil in the carburetor. This is then the return the oil leak in the carburetor of the Sportster. This will result in production following the leak directly into the carburetor as it should.
The next time we can do is to see the fuel line. The leakage of exhaust gas oil can also be caused by fuel line drive so that you can not fly above the carburetor of the Sportster. The oil leak could ultimately damage the pipe. As this happens, you must replace the pipe that is molded around the tubes inside diameter.
To replace the path you have hose sections through each of the exhaust pipe. Then just pull the air intake opening. In these sections have been routed, t connect the gap between them. Set the aperture facing the blank area at the entrance of the carburetor. You can then pull the vacuum hose off until the "T" is correctly installed in all clean air.
The last thing you do is cut the vacuum pipe over-discharge tubes with molded in mounting air filter. The length to escape the bolts that hold the head is ½ inch. Meanwhile, the molded tubes in which crises are ¾ inch. Once the air filter is reinstalled, the exhaust bolts to push the suction tube-shaped tube by ¼ vacuum "is always shaped tubes. You must change the path straight into the carburetor.

oil leak around the filler cap of 82 harley sportster?
Loss of oil around the filler cap on my Harley housing Sportster 82. The oil is removed from the oil tank and make your way to the crank side of the motor housing. I do not know where the leak more. Loss of oil around the oil filler cap in the main part of my 82 Sportster. I replaced the O-ring and filter into the socket. Is it leaking like crazy every time you ride it. It is the only place that has a leak, but the oil level falls in the tank after a couple times riding it.
Your question and the description is very misleading, we need better information. First, there no cap to the housing. Harley enclosures are designed semi-dry sump oil tank with a remote …. meaning …. not fill the crankcase you fill the oil tank. Because the tank is higher than the engine, while seated, gravity will do a small part of the oil emptying the tank, filtered beyond the oil pump and sump drainage. When the bike started, the oil pump pick up the oil, and moving to the tank. In addition, the filler cap is not on the PRIMARY …. There are, however, an oil level screw hole. To meet Ironhead Primary oil is poured into the hole in the primary inspection line until it leaves the small hole near shifter …. is almost never used as the right amount of oil is 1 liter. …. So like I said, we need to redefine your question information appropriate and better …… if we do not know exactly what you hear, we can not respond. Edit … Looks like you left a bad gasket crank in the primary. The pressure forced the piston engine oil is low shot past the seal and enter the primary. This could explain the loss in oil the tank and the oil level and over in the primaries. This loss would also be the main engine pressure down, causing a severe loss of Main oil. This is not a job for someone without experience. You'd better take it to a store and I saw and repaired.
