Tire size compatability? 2000 H-D Sporty 1200?
This is a dumb question but will a Dunlop D402 Harley-Davidson series tire size MH90-21 fit on a rim bearing a 3.00-21 tire? What does the MH stand for? For the rear 130-90-16, will the Dunlop D401 130-90HB-16 work. What does the HB stand for. Bike is a 2000 HD Sporty 1200XL Custom but has been customized to the point of being barely recognized as a Sportster.
On the Dunlop D402 MH90-21, the M stands for motorcycle tire and the H stands for the tire width code. On the Dunlop D401 130-90HB-16, the H stands for the speed rating and the B stands for the load range.
For the front, the recommended tire is the D402F in size MH90-21, although the D407F in size MH90-21 is a viable alternative.
For the rear, the recommended tire is the D401 in size 130/90B16, and there is no recommended alternative.
