i have a 2001 harley sportster 1200s that i want to install slightly wider tires and raised pegs on?
the object here is to allow the bike to lean farther. the only problem i have is that i dont know how this will affect the bike or how difficult the peg raising is. as far as i know the 2001 sportster 1200s uses a specially designed sport tire so im hesitant to change to something a bit wider.as for raising the pegs go, i dont have any idea whats on the market kit-wise but it would be nice if someone sells something to raise my pegs and controls so i dont have to fabricate it.
There is several places that sell forward control kits for your bike and the kits come with instructions . As long as your wheels are wide enough you can easily add wider tires . www.denniskirk.com has several different kits .
