Do flyscreen windshields do anything ?
I have a Harley Davidson sportster. I am thinking about getting a windshield for it, but I don’t really like the way they look. National Cycle makes a small windshield called a flyscreen that is only 9 inches tall. I just want something to keep the bugs off my face. My question is does it really do anything ?
yes they do work, if adjusted properly. The angle of the windshield should be that of the forks and the height should be adjusted so that the wind (and insects) are directed just over your head. Take a ride and hold your your hand up to feel the height of the wind, if it is not going over your head, then the windshield must be raised.
