No spark! Can someone please help?
I have a 1995 Harley Sportster XL 1200. I was riding along just fine on memorial day weekend doin about 65 down the hiway when all of the sudden the bike just died. I had no spark at the coil. Since that time I have replaced the coil, ignition module, crank sensor, voltage regulator, and plugs & wires and I still have no spark. What is it that I have overlooked?
The battery is good. The bike still cranks over good.
Check out your kill switch on right handle bar.
Something might be disconnect wires inside head light.
safety switch on clutch lever. side kick stand switch. I would suggest to test with your ohm meter to find out to see if switch is working. ON AND OFF
Do you have oil pressure switch that connect to spark?? Sometime low oil level that will shut off engine. But I am not sure on your harley model. But I know alot on japan bikes.
I would like to check on head light to see if wire are disconnect or any wire that rubbed into metal . cause the wire touch to metal that like using kill switch or bad ingition switch.
I would check it out with ohm meter
