What’s the difference between a 1975 sportster XLC and XLCH?
My brother in law has a 1975 AMF harley davidson sportster XLCH. the only difference I can find between that and the XLC is that the XLCH has a kick starter. he says that the XLCH (XL competition Hot) is faster than the XLC, and I keep telling him that a kick starter doesn’t make it go any faster 
any guru’s out there know of any other differences?
Your brother in law is correct.
XL = special construction
C = Intended to mean competition
H = High power or High compression
