2006 35th Ann. Harley Super Glide or the 2008 Yamaha Raider S?
I’m 21 years old and I’ve been riding for about a year now. I currently have a 1999 Aprilia RSV and a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard C50. I like have both bikes because my mood changes and sometimes I like to cruise and sometimes and I like to be young and dumb. I’m ready for something bigger than my C50. There is a local dealership that has a 2006 Super Glide w/290 miles on it for 12,995. So both of these bikes are about equal in price. I haven’t read any bad reviews on either bike however the yamaha has not been out that long. But I never read bad yamaha reviews anyway. Just curious if anyone owned either one and if they could send me some feedback. I’m trying to make this a long term investment.
The Superglide is a good buy at that price, and it’s a good bike to move up to from a Suzuki C50, but it makes me curious as to why there are only 290 miles on the odometer… A good 2-year old H-D should have several thousand miles on it by now. Was it wrecked by a previous owner and rebuilt? Was it a dealer demo bike? Was it a lemon that has been sitting in the dealer’s shop waiting for repairs? Or was the previous owner a RUB who bought it and then was afraid to ride it?
You need to find out before spending your money on a potential problem bike…
