Changing wheels and tire size on a Harley Dyna Super Glide.?

My current tire size is 140-90-16 in the rear wheel. I've gone from an inch of the wheel 16 to 17 inch wheels and need to know the tire size is equivalent to the original. They said that would 140-80-17 equivalent size, but really want to make sure before applying for a $ 180 tire. Will 140-80-17 fit a Dyna Super Glide 2000?
