Why so many people think you are being a "rebel" when in reality they are only after the herd?

Always makes me laugh when I see someone with a pierced tongue, a lower back tattoo, an emo haircut, a Che Guevara t-shirt, riding a Harley, listening Green Day CD. In his view, are "really bada **" and are "sticking to the man." In fact, are clueless wusses insecure without the ability to be truly independent and think for themselves. So why are there so many people are mindless sheep following the herd, who falsely believe they are "rebels"?

Fact of the matter is that most people believe that resist according to the society, when in reality only conform with the group that resists conformity. They want to be people because they want to feel they have control, are more confident than the others, stand out and makes them unique. No so. It's just another fad. "To be an immaculate member of a flock of sheep, one must above all be the same sheep."
