2009 harley davidson fat bob question?

Im a shorter guy 5’6 and wondering if a 2009 fat bob with forward controls might be to far of a stretch. almost all the reviews ive read the people are 6’3 and wither say its a good fit or wish the controls sat further forward. I cant find one to try in my area without putting money down to have one ordered. i don’t want to order if im not going to be able to use the forward controls.
I ended up finding a dealer that had a new 09 and i bought it. I traded in a honda sport bike for it and got alot of extras on the bike. hopefully service will have it done in the next week or so. thanks for all the help

I personally own a Fat Bob. I ordered it with mid-controls, as you could, at that time, get it either way. Now, for 2010, it only comes with forward controls as stock. I’m 5’4″ and I can easily reach the forward controls, so I don’t see you having a problem at all. I just prefer the mid controls. I did add a set of highway pegs that are about where the forward controls would be, just so when traveling, I’d have another position for my legs/feet. It’s a fun bike to ride with plenty of power, great handling and comfort on long rides. It has the comfort of a Fat Boy (which I’ve also owned, and the handling of the Dyna) I’d go for it!!
